JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 4, 2010) - Head ETSU track and field coach David Walker announced the hiring of new assistant, Brandon Morton, on Wednesday afternoon. Morton will assist with all aspects of the program.

"We are extremely happy to have someone with the abilities that Brandon has," Walker said. "It's good to have him on board, and I feel that he will immediately add to an already outstanding program here at ETSU."

Morton brings a lot of success to the Buccaneer program having spent three years as an assistant at Campbell University. While at Campbell, Morton coached 13 Atlantic Sun Conference Champions, nine NCAA Regional qualifiers and 61 A-Sun All-Conference performers. Morton also saw 11 school records fall while on the Camels coaching staff.

A former track stand out at Winthrop, Morton was a two-time NCAA regional qualifier and conference champion as well as being named a Big South All-Conference performer seven times.

Morton graduated from Winthrop with a B.S. in Sports Management in 2005 before earning his masters in Exercise Science from Campbell in 2010.
