JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 31, 2009) - The ETSU men's soccer team is set to host Wofford in the season opener Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Summers-Taylor Stadium.

The Bucs come into the match having gone 2-0-1 in their three preseason matches with wins over King College (1-0) and Mars Hill (3-0), and a 1-1 tie against Appalachian State. Theo Yang (Lilburn, Ga.) has led the ETSU offense in the preseason with a goal and two assists.

ETSU beat Wofford, 2-0, a year ago for the programs first ever win. Sophomore Sean Hoek (Newburgh, Ind.) had the game winner for the Buccaneers in the victory.

The Terriers finished 2-0 in their preseason defeating Winthrop (2-1) and Carson Newman (1-0). Wofford returns nine starters in 2009 including its top two scorers in junior Wilson Hood and senior Branson Hyatt.
