ETSU men's soccer looks to stay undefeated at home in conference against Stetson

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 17, 2009) - Coming off of an impressive 3-0 win over Florida Gulf Coast, the ETSU men's soccer team will look to stay undefeated at home in conference as the Bucs take on Stetson at noon on Sunday at Summers-Taylor Stadium.

 

The Bucs (2-6-3, 1-2-1 A-Sun) are 1-2 in their last three matches having defeated FGCU after heartbreaking losses to Mercer and Campbell. ETSU is led by sophomore Sean Hoek (Newburgh, Ind.) as he has a team-best three goals and is tied for the team lead with one game-winner.

 

ETSU lost to Stetson in 2008 as the Bucs fell 4-1 on the road to the Hatters.

 

Stetson (9-1-2, 3-1-1) is coming off of a 1-1 tie at USC Upstate on Friday as the Hatters are 2-0-1 in their last three matches. The Hatters are led by Griffin Gilstrap who is first in the Atlantic Sun in goals (8) and points (19).
