Lady Bucs post team cumulative GPA of 3.255 in 2009

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 5, 2009) - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced the women's Division I All-Academic Track and Field teams, and the ETSU Lady Bucs were one of 130 teams recognized for their hard work both on the track and in the classroom.

The Lady Bucs, who had Nae-Nae Bailey (Statesville, N.C.), Heidi Dahl (Orem, Utah) and Judy Johnson (Knoxville, Tenn.) named to the USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic Team back in July, posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.255 this past track and field season.

ETSU was one of three Atlantic Sun institutions represented on the All-Academic Team, as Lipscomb and Jacksonville also joined the prestigious list.

To be nominated as USTFCCCA All-Academic, the team must carry a minimum 3.000 cumulative grade-point average.
