ETSU volleyball heads to UNC Asheville

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2009) - The ETSU volleyball team will look to end a four-game skid as the Bucs head to Asheville, N.C. to take on UNC Asheville Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

 

The Bucs (6-14, 5-7) fell to USC Upstate 3-1 and Campbell 3-2 last week. ETSU is led by Whitney Cogburn (Kingsport, Tenn.) as she has a team-best 198 kills and seven double-doubles.

 

ETSU is 19-20 all-time against the Bulldogs with the last match coming in 2007 when the Buccaneers defeated UNCA 3-2 at home.

 

UNC Asheville (18-6, 7-1 Big South) comes into the match having won seven of its last eight matches. The Bulldogs are led by Raquel Miotto who is seventh on the NCAA all-time list for career digs with 2,440.
