JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 13, 2009) - The ETSU baseball team will look to end a four-game losing streak Tuesday at 7 p.m. as the Bucs head to Boone, N.C. to take on Appalachian State at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.

The Bucs (14-18, 6-12 A-Sun) were swept by Jacksonville this past weekend losing two heartbreakers on Saturday. Senior Ben Allen (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the Bucs to a win over the Mountaineers earlier this year going 2-for-4 and drove in the winning run in a 5-3 game. ETSU is led offensively by senior Troy Mendez (Roswell, Ga.) as he leads the team with a .359 average.

Appalachian State (17-16, 8-11 SoCon) comes into the game having won six straight including a sweep of Samford this past weekend after defeating Tennessee on the road 9-7. The Mountaineers are led by Isaac Harrow as he is hitting .400 on the season.
