JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 11, 2008) - The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee are teaming up to collect donated food for the needy, while also providing discounted tickets to fans who wish to attend the Buccaneers' men's basketball game against in-state rival Chattanooga on Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. inside Memorial Center.
Any fans wishing to participate can receive a general admission ticket for half price - just $5 - when they bring TWO cans of food to the gate. The specific items requested include: cereal, peanut butter, canned meats, canned soups, canned fruits & vegetables, boxed meals and macaroni & cheese.
The Buccaneers are off to their best start since the 2003-04 season, and the Chattanooga game is always an exciting contest with a large crowd in attendance. Don't miss out on this opportunity to help the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, while also having the chance to watch the Bucs play.
