ETSU volleyball continues preparations for the start of the season

Friday, August 22, 2008

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 22, 2008) - The ETSU volleyball team concluded its second week of practice Friday, as they head into the first week of competition.

"I am very proud of the way the team has responded in preseason," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "We have worked extremely hard whether it was on the sand courts, in our pool work, or the gym sessions. The excitement and the energy that the girls have brought to every practice has elevated each player's game, and has added to the focus of the team leading into our first competition. They all know the first match is right around the corner, and we are excited to get out on the court and face an opponent other than ourselves."

The Bucs head to Greenville, N.C. next weekend for the East Carolina Tournament. ETSU will face host East Carolina on Aug. 29 followed by High Point and Howard on Aug. 30 to finish out the tournament. The home opener for the Bucs is Sept. 9 against USC  Upstate in Brooks Gym.
