JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 12, 2008) - The ETSU volleyball team dropped its fifth straight match losing to Lipscomb Friday night at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn., 3-0 (23-25, 22-25, 18-25).

"Our team knows what they have to do win," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "The effort is there, but our team is young and it is taking longer for them to play to their potential that we thought it would."

The Bucs (2-6, 0-2 A-Sun) were led offensively by Lauren Baufield (Plymouth, Minn.) who tallied eight kills on the night. Whitney Cogburn (Kingsport, Tenn.) had six kills and 13 assists for ETSU.

Jen Neice (Allen, Texas) led the Bucs in the back with 19 digs, while Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.) had 15 assists and seven digs in the match.

The Bucs are back in action Saturday at 3 p.m. as they will take on Belmont. Please visit www.ETSUBucs.com for more information on ETSU volleyball and all other Buccaneer athletic news.
