COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 12, 2009) - For the third time in its last four tournaments, the ETSU men's golf team put together an outstanding effort, finishing second on the leaderboard following third and final round action in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Sunday at Ohio State University's Scarlet Course.

The Buccaneers have now won an event and posted two second place finishes in their last four tournaments, as the team finished two strokes back of team champion and Big Ten Conference representative Northwestern. As a team, the Bucs finished with a score of 894 (295-303-296).

On the individual leaderboard, ETSU junior Seamus Power finished with the team's best individual showing, posting a three-round score of 8-over 221 (72-73-76) to place tied for third, three strokes back of champion Brad Wright of host Ohio State.

Other ETSU scores of note included sophomores Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England) and Paul O'Kane (Castledawson, Northern Ireland), who both fired Sunday's team-best rounds of 73 to move up from a tie for 14th to a tie for sixth on the leaderboard. In addition, true freshman Michael Stewart ended the event tied for 29th, and a fellow freshman Devin Komline (Dorset, Vermont) finished tied for 59th.

The Robert Kepler Intercollegiate is the Bucs' final regular season event before playing in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships beginning April 20th at the Keith Hills Country Club in Buies Creek, N.C.
