JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 21, 2007) - ETSU head baseball coach Tony Skole announced Wednesday that the Buccaneers have received a signed national letter of intent from Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.) for the 2008-09 season.

"We are very excited and honored that Bo Reeder is coming to ETSU," Skole said. "Bo was very highly recruited and is considered by many publications to be one of the top players in the state of Tennessee. He has already had an accomplished high school career and I'm sure his senior year will be even more dominant.  He is very comparable and reminds our staff a lot of Caleb Moore who was one of the best to ever wear the Blue and Gold."

Reeder, a 6-foot, 180-pound, third baseman is a Louisville Slugger All-American. Only nine players in the state of Tennessee are chosen for the award. Reeder, a three-year starter, hit .400 with 12 homeruns and 36 RBIs as a junior. The Tennessee All-State selection as a junior is coached by Butch Chaffin at Cookeville High School.

"Bo is one of those special young men who can do many things well on the baseball field," Skole said. "He can beat you in many different ways and when you combine that with his competitive make-up, you have a young man who has a bright future at ETSU.  Bo is very strong and physical, with a quick arm on the mound and serious bat speed at the plate.  He will immediately have a positive impact in our program. Our fans are going to love watching Bo Reeder line it up for the Buccaneers."
