ETSU set for double header against USC Upstate in conference home opener

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 29, 2008) - The ETSU baseball team is set to host USC Upstate in the conference home opener this weekend at Cardinal Park. Game one will be Saturday at 1 p.m. with the second game to start 30 minutes after the completion of game one. Game three of the series is slated for Sunday at 1 p.m.

 

The Bucs (0-4, 0-0) will look to rebound against the Spartans. ETSU is a perfect 10-0 in home opening series in the past 10 years including a perfect 8-0 record under head coach Tony Skole.

 

USC Upstate (2-3, 0-0) comes into the series on a three-game losing streak after a 7-3 loss to Charlotte on Wednesday. The Bucs are 2-4 all-time against the Spartans, and have won the only series played between the two schools.
