JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (August 30, 2007) - The ETSU women's soccer team is set to open the 2007 season as they take on the MTSU Blue Raiders on Friday, August 31 at the new on-campus Summers Taylor Stadium. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m.

The Bucs who finished the 2006 season 5-10-4 will take on a tough opponent in the Blue Raiders who set a school record with 17 wins last season. History will be on ETSU's side however as the Bucs currently lead the series, 3-2.

ETSU returns 13 letterwinners including seniors, Hannah Johnson (Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.), Katie O'Bryan (Hampton, Va.) and Aubree Snyder (Reading, Pa.). The Bucs also return last year's A-Sun Freshman of the Year Jordan Monty (Mesquite, Texas).
