NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mar. 6, 2008) - The ETSU women's basketball team will face host Lipscomb in the second semifinal game of the General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Tournament Friday afternoon at approximately 2:15 p.m. from Allen Arena.

ETSU cruised into the semifinals with its 21-point win over Mercer Wednesday night. Five Lady Buccaneer players scored in double figures and were led by sophomore Siarre Evans' (Griffin, Ga.) seventh double-double of the season. Evans poured in 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while another sophomore, Latisha Belcher (Martinsville, Va.), enjoyed one of her best games at ETSU. Belcher finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and a career-high eight steals in the 83-62 victory over the Bears.

Lipscomb moved into the semifinals with a dramatic 73-72 victory over Belmont Thursday evening. Catie Woods hit the game-winner as her jumper from the corner rattled off every piece of the rim before finally falling down with 11 seconds remaining. Belmont never got a good look as their shot went off after the buzzer sounded.

The Lady Bucs swept the regular season series against the Lady Bisons this season. ETSU downed Lipscomb by 20-plus points in both meetings on the campaign, including a 77-55 victory inside Allen Arena. The Lady Bucs have owned the series over Lipscomb, 6-1; however, ETSU's lone loss came a year ago here in Nashville. ETSU and Lipscomb met last season in the quarterfinals and the Lady Buccaneers walked away with an 83-69 win inside the Dothan Civic Center.
