Knox caps off stellar career by receiving All-Mideast Region honors
Knox Tuesday, June 03, 2008 Knox, who set a new program record in the 100m with a time of 11.45, made her second consecutive appearance at the Mideast Regional this season and worked her way into the finals last Saturday for the first time in her career. By accomplishing this feat, the Interdisciplinary Studies major earned a spot on the all-region team and finished with a national ranking of 47th in the country. "I am extremely proud of the year Jenny put together and it was a pleasure coaching her over the past five years," commented associate head coach Michelle Byrne. "She is one of the best student-athletes I have been able to coach and to finish out her career with such an outstanding season speaks volumes of her character." Knox also helped guide the Bucs' 4x100-meter relay squad to a national ranking of 52nd as the group of Nae-Nae Bailey ( Knox graduated from ETSU last month and departed as one of the top sprinters in Buccaneer history.
