BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Sept. 14, 2007) -The ETSU volleyball team was defeated by Indiana in three games Friday at the Indiana University Adidas Classic in Bloomington, Ind., 21-30, 28-30, 22-30.

"We were right there with them in every game, but when we tried to compensate for things we ended up making errors," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "We scheduled a tournament like this one so that we could see how we would compete against the big opponents and we are almost on that level."

The Bucs were led by senior Michelle Mislan (Indianapolis, Ind.), who had nine kills, and freshman Britney Loomis (Michigan City, Ind.), with 8 kills. Sophomore Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.), had 28 assists and 5 kills for the Bucs.

Senior Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii), collected 21 digs, while freshman Laura Waddell (Lynchburg, Va.), had 5 kills.

"Hopefully we can use this game as a learning experience as we head into conference play," Devine said.

The Bucs continue action tomorrow as they will take on 23rd ranked St. John's at noon and North Carolina Central at 5 p.m. to close out the Indiana University Adidas Classic.
