No. 56 Bucs drop Belmont, 4-0

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 7, 2008) - The No. 56 ETSU men's tennis team defeated the conference foe Belmont, 4-0 on Thursday night at the Wildwood Tennis Club. ETSU improves to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in A-Sun play while the Bruins fall to 0-8, 0-3.

 

Due to the inclement weather surrounding the Nashville area only four singles matches were contested. No. 61 Enrique Olivares (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) dropped Felipe Lima in the top position, 6-1, 6-0, while Sebastian Serrano (Cartagena, Colombia) cruised past Ignacio Gesto, 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 2 position. Competing in the No. 3 singles Lisandro Picardo (Mar del Plata, Argentina) remains perfect in dual play defeating Francisco Garcia, 6-2, 6-0 while Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) dropped Zach Zola, 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth position.   

 

The Bucs will be back in action on March 8 as they take on Lipscomb. The match is set to begin at Noon. Follow all ETSU men's tennis action at www.ETSUBucs.com.
