Friday, March 21, 2008

MACON, Ga. (March 21, 2008) - ETSU's Lisandro Picardo has not dropped a match during the dual match season, and this week the ITA Rankings finally took notice as the senior earned the first national ranking of his career. The Argentina native extended his winning streak to 12 this past week, and on Friday the conference office recognized both achievements, and awarded Picardo his first Player of the Week honor of the season. It is the third such award in Picardo's career.

The business major sports a team-best 20-3 singles mark overall, including 12-0 in dual play and 2-0 in A-Sun play. Picardo is nationally ranked for the first time in his career at No. 95 following his 6-3, 6-2 victory against Nebraska's Hendrik Stahmer.
