Softball Bucs look to bounce back Thursday versus Milligan

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Mar. 19, 2008) - After being swept by conference leader Florida Gulf Coast in the Atlantic Sun opener on Sunday, the ETSU softball team looks to bounce back and get into the win column when the Lady Bucs tangle with Milligan Thursday afternoon from Metro-Kiwanis Park. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 3 p.m.

 

Sophomore outfielder Katy Jett (Talbott, Tenn.) currently leads the team in batting average (.316), hits (24) and slugging percentage (.447) and is also tied for the team lead in doubles (4) and RBI (14).

 

ETSU currently sits 9-17 overall and have lost seven of its last nine games.

 

The Buffaloes are 10-9 overall and are coming off a split over Maryville College on Tuesday. Milligan took game one 8-0 and fell 4-2 in the second contest.
