ETSU women's golf closing in on A-Sun title, NCAA berth
Tuesday, April 15, 2008
The 45th-ranked ETSU women's golf team increased its advantage on the team leaderboard during Tuesday's second round of action in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships at the Ridges Golf and Country Club. Having led by 17 strokes after Monday's first round, the Buccaneers now lead by 28 strokes over defending champion Campbell heading into Wednesday's third and final round.

We're going to go into tomorrow with the same approach we've had the last two days, and we're not going to even think about winning the tournament until we step off the course tomorrow."
The Bucs garnered their solid team standing thanks to consistent rounds from top to bottom in their lineup. ETSU's best scores on the day came from seniors Natalia Giraldo (Cali, Colombia) and Maria Ringdahl (Farjestaden, Sweden), who both posted 1-over 73s, while sophomore Sinead O'Sullivan (Galway, Ireland) finished at 2-over 74. Giraldo, Ringdahl and O'Sullivan are currently second, fourth and fifth on the individual leaderboard, respectively.
