ETSU women's soccer falls to Virginia Tech, 3-0
Friday, October 27, 2006 In the first period, Virginia Tech scored in the first five minutes of the match as Julian Johnson drew a foul inside the box for a penalty kick. Erin Moore converted to give Virginia Tech a 1-0 lead. The Hokies scored again three minutes later as Ashley Kinser found the back of the net. The Bucs defense then tightened its hold making seven saves and was able to go into half time trailing 2-0. In the second, ETSU regained their composure, but the Hokies scored one more time as Erin Moore found the back of the net for her second goal of the night. "I think we came out a little too nervous playing an ACC school and we put ourselves in a bad situation by having them score twice so early on," said head coach Heather Henson.
