CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (Dec. 14, 2006)  - After a 13-day layoff, the ETSU women's basketball team continues its five-game road trip as they face Southeast Missouri State Friday evening. Tip is scheduled for 8:30 EST inside the Show Me Center.

Since opening the season losing three straight games, the Lady Bucs have been on a roll by winning four of their last five, including three straight. Senior Brooke Wilhoit (Sevierville, Tenn.) has played a significant role during this streak, totaling 31 points, 26 assists, 15 rebounds, and nine steals in the last three games for ETSU. Wilhoit also played all 40 minutes in two of the three contests, and was named A-Sun Player of the Week on Dec. 5 for her solid all-around performance on the court. Junior guard Kelly Turman (Atlanta) has given the Lady Bucs a lift by coming off the bench and averaging 13.0 ppg.

This will mark the third-ever meeting between both programs with ETSU winning the previous two. The most recent win came last season inside Memorial Center when the Lady Bucs won, 81-74 on Dec. 28. B.J. Banjo (Baltimore) led all scorers with a career-high 39 points, while Nichelle Akers (Sumter, S.C.) added 14. ETSU won the first meeting, 61-58, on Dec. 7, 1996 in Cape Girardeau.
