NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 2, 2007) - Coming off a critical conference loss to Belmont on Thursday night, the ETSU women's basketball will look to regroup and get back in the win column when they face Lipscomb on Saturday. Tip is set for 5 p.m. (EST) inside Allen Arena.

ETSU (12-8, 8-2 A-Sun) lost its chance to move into a tie for first-place with Belmont as they fell 69-66 to the Bruins on Thursday night. The Lady Bucs now sit two games behind Belmont for the top spot, but hold a two-game cushion for second-place in the Atlantic Sun standings with only eight games remaining. Jenny Norman (Peachtree City, Ga.) finished one rebound shy of picking up her first career double-double as she led ETSU with 13 points. Her nine-rebound effort tied her career high, which she set last season against Mercer.

Lipscomb (6-14, 4-6) snapped a three-game losing streak as they held off Kennesaw State, 68-57, on Thursday evening. Jilian Partin who scored a career-high 16 points and grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds in the victory over the Lady Owls led the Lady Bisons. Lipscomb has won three of its last four contests inside Allen Arena.

The Lady Bucs have never lost to the Lady Bisons in their previous three meetings. Earlier this season, ETSU won the contest in Memorial Center, 71-51, as all 12 Lady Buc players who dressed got in the game. ETSU out-rebounded Lipscomb 59-33, as Nichelle Akers (Sumter, S.C.) tied her career high by bringing down 10 rebounds, and Michele DeVault (Columbus, Ohio) led the Lady Bucs with 13 points. Lipscomb is one of five Atlantic Sun teams that the Lady Bucs have a perfect mark against.
