BANNER ELK, N.C. (September 13, 2006) - The ETSU volleyball squad swept past Lees-McRae 38-36, 30-20, 30-28 in non-conference action Wednesday night.  The Lady Bucs improve to 7-4 with the victory, while Lees-McRae falls to 9-5.


"It wasn't pretty, but it was a win on the road," said head coach Lindsey Devine.


The Lady Bucs trailed by as many as five points in the opening frame before rallying back for the two-point victory.  ETSU asserted its superiority in game two, cruising to the 10 point win before pulling out another two point victory in the third stanza to complete the sweep,


ETSU returns to action this weekend at the Microtel Inn and Suites CCU Classic in Conway, S.C.  The Lady Bucs open play Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. against Atlantic Sun foe North Florida.
