MACON, Ga. (Nov. 20, 2006) - In a week full of outstanding individual performances, ETSU guard Courtney Pigram (Memphis) claimed A-Sun Player of the Week honors as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The sophomore drilled the game-winning three-pointer with 1.8 seconds remaining versus Chattanooga to lift ETSU past their long-time rival.

 

In that game, Pigram netted a career-high 29 points and buried seven three-pointers in 41 minutes of action. On Sunday, the Memphis, Tenn., native continued his impressive start with a game-high 19 points in the Bucs' near upset of Auburn. In that game, the Bucs saw an 11-point second half lead vanish before falling in a tough one against the Tigers, 64-58.

 

 For the week, Pigram averaged 21.0 points, hitting on 47 percent from 3-point range (14-of-30), while also picking up six steals, eight assists and eight rebounds. He currently is tied for the A-Sun lead in 3-PT FG's per game (4.25) while ranking second in points per game (19.0). His 29-point effort versus UTC is the top scoring performance in the conference this season. Pigram majors in Sports Management.
