BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (Jan. 7, 2006) -- The ETSU men's basketball team hits the road for a two-game Atlantic Sun Conference road swing beginning Sunday with a 2 p.m. tipoff against Gardner-Webb at Paul Porter Arena.

The Bucs, 9-7 overall, 3-1 A-Sun, are coming off a dramatic 75-72 overtime win over defending regular season champions Lipscomb Tuesday night, and are looking to either reinforce their current second place standing or catch Belmont atop the league standings. Meanwhile, Gardner-Webb -- a team that defeated ETSU on a last-second tip in their last meeting during the first round of the 2006 A-Sun Championships -- has struggled this season and is currently  3-10 overall, 1-1 in league play.

ETSU is off to its best start in conference competition since the 2003-04 season, when the Bucs began the season 15-0 in league play as members of the Southern Conference. The Bucs will continue with their road trip on Tuesday, facing Campbell at 7 p.m. in Carter Gym.
