(May 13, 2007) - When Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) steps to the tee Thursday morning at Oakmont Country Club just outside of Pittsburgh, the former ETSU star will be taking part in one of golf's most storied major championships - the U.S. Open.

Davies will be paired alongside Michael Puttnam and Lee Williams, and the trio will begin at 7 a.m. on the No. 10 tee Thursday morning. Davies, a three-time first-team All-American with the Buccaneers, made the field for the U.S. Open by winning a qualifier earlier this month.
