JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (October 15, 2005) - The East Tennessee State volleyball team dropped its second match in as many days on Saturday, falling to Jacksonville, 3-1, in Swisher Gymnasium.  The Dolphins posted 30-26, 30-27, and 30-25 wins in games one, three, and four, while the Lady Bucs claimed the 30-26 victory in game two.  The Lady Bucs fall to 14-7, 2-2 in the Atlantic Sun following the loss, as Jacksonville moved to 8-11, improving its unblemished Conference record to 4-0.

"It was a tough weekend on the road," said head coach Lindsey Devine.  "It's really hard to come into someone else's gym and win.  We just need to play more consistently and execute our game plan."

Junior Sarah Buhr (Stockton, Calif.) paced the Lady Bucs with a double-double, connecting on 12 kills, as well as adding a team-high 14 digs.  Fellow junior Brittany Kessel (Libertyville, Ill.) chipped in with 12 kills of her own, slamming a team-best .407 hitting percentage.  Kessel also posted a double-double, adding 11 assists, along with eight digs.

Including Buhr and Kessel, four Lady Bucs posted a double-digit kill output, with Callie Kiselich (Colorado Springs, Colo.) adding 11, and Jennifer Sartor (Toronto, Ontario) recording 10.  Kiselich also contributed 10 digs, making her the third Lady Buc to chart a double-double on the evening. Jennifer Emerson (Santa Clara, Calif.) led ETSU with 31 assists.

Senior Sara Scandiffio (Purcellville, Va.) was a power on defense, assisting in six blocks, while Sartor managed four block assists, and one solo.

The Dolphins out-hit the Lady Bucs .181 to .168 on the evening, posting 63 total kills, to ETSU's 59.  Petya Borisova tallied match-highs in kills and digs, recording 15 and 19 respectively.  Eva Stoilova was also tough on defense, notching 16 digs, along with 10 kills.  Teammate Lindsay Ward added another 12 kills.

The Lady Bucs are set to face Radford back home in Brooks Gym on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7:00 p.m.  Following the Radford contest, ETSU heads back into another weekend of A-Sun action, with Lipscomb and Belmont on the road.
