JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 24, 2005) - The East Tennessee State baseball team will play their first game of the 2005 Southern Conference Tournament Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Georgia Southern from Riley Park in Charleston, S.C.

            ETSU is the seventh seed after finishing the regular season 31-20, 13-16 in SoCon play. Georgia Southern is seeded second after posting a 35-20 record this season, 18-11 in conference games.

            Junior righty Jeremy Hall (Gray, Tenn.) will get the start Wednesday for ETSU. Hall has been the ace of the Buccaneer staff, leading the SoCon in wins, going 10-3 with a 4.89 ERA. Georgia Southern will counter with Everett Teaford, who is 8-3 with a 4.17 ERA this season.

            All ETSU games in the SoCon Tournament will be broadcast on the Buccaneer Sports Network, while live stats will also be available on the official website of East Tennessee State Athletics, www.ETSUBucs.com.
