JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 25, 2005) - East Tennessee State senior catcher Caleb Moore (Knoxville, Tenn.) was named as a second-team USA Today Sports Weekly All-America selection in this weeks edition of the publication, on newsstands now.

            Coming into this week's Southern Conference Tournament from Riley Park in Charleston, S.C., Moore leads the Bucs with a .385 batting average, 14 home runs and 71 runs batted in. Caleb also serves as the Buccaneer closer, going 6-2 with a 3.03 ERA and 11 saves in 25 appearances this season.

            Moore is among the SoCon leaders in several categories, leading the conference in home runs and slugging percentage (.705) while ranking second in RBIs and saves, fifth in doubles (20) and total bases (141) and tenth in batting average. He led all NCAA Division I players last season in batting average (.455) and doubles (.60 per game).

            Caleb has broken several school records this season, including career hits (239), career doubles (63), RBIs in a season (71), career saves (18) and saves in a season (11).

            He was a second-team Louisville Slugger All-American following last season and was a preseason first-team selection prior to this year.

            East Tennessee State will play Georgia Southern in the first round of the SoCon Tournament this afternoon from Riley Park in Charleston, S.C.
