Women's hoops wins overtime thriller

Greensboro, N.C. (Feb. 19, 2005) -  Behind a 30 point effort from Lady Bucs forward Tiffani Mayes (Sumter, S.C.), ETSU captured a 70-67 overtime victory today over the UNC Greensboro Spartans in Southern Conference action.  With the win, ETSU moves to 10-15, 8-10 in SoCon play for the year, while the Spartans fall to 13-12, 10-8 SoCon.  Bucs point guard B.J. Banjo (Baltimore, Md.) added 12 points, three rebounds and six assists in the win, while ETSU shot a stellar 45 percent from the floor.

ETSU committed 24 turnovers to the 30 of the Spartans, and shot 2-11 from beyond the arc while UNCG went scoreless from three-point range shooting 0-11 for the afternoon. 

The Lady Bucs return to action Monday when they host Elon for a 4:30 p.m. match-up.
