ETSU cross country and track and field teams lend a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2004) - The East Tennessee State University cross country and track and field teams helped put the finishing touches on a home with Habitat for Humanity this past Saturday in Kingsport, Tenn.

            Over 30 ETSU student-athletes took part in the event. They took on various tasks including hanging doorframes, paving a driveway, landscaping, putting on doorknobs, and cleaning up the site to prepare it for when the family will move in. 

 

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. Since 1976, Habitat has built more than 175,000 houses and provided shelter for nearly 900,000 people worldwide. To learn more about Habitat for Humanity please visit their website at www.habitat.org.
