Posada moves forward in day two of qualifiers at Icy/Hot ITA All American Tournament

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 4, 2004) - Sophomore Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) advanced to the third round in the qualifiers of the ICY/HOT ITA All American Tournament Tuesday morning in Chattanooga, Tenn.

ETSU's tennis stand out, Posada won 6-1, 6-4 against Paul Rose of Purdue in the round of 64 on Tuesday morning. It is his second overall victory in the tournament. He will now face Tony Haerle of Rice College in the round of 32. Match time is set for Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.

The Icy/Hot ITA All American Tournament is the first of three national championships for singles and doubles during the 2004-05 season. It is hosted by the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from Oct. 1-10 for the men.
