ETSU Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (November 24, 2003) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced East Tennessee State women's soccer program as a NSCAA team Academic Award winner. The soccer team coached by Heather Henson posted a 3.10 average GPA for the 2002-03 school year to earn the honors. A total of 336 intercollegiate soccer programs (71 men, 265 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2002-03 school year. The awards will be presented at the College Coaches Luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, as part of the 57th Annual NSCAA Convention, to be held in Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 14-18, 2004.
