CHARLESTON, SC (April 23, 2004) - The Southern Conference announced the 2004 Men's and Women's All-Conference teams this afternoon. The coaches have also selected the Player, Freshman and Coach of the Year as well as presenting the Sportsmanship Awards. ETSU's Yaser Zaatini was named the Coach of the Year after guiding the Bucs to an undefeated mark in SoCon play. ETSU also brought home the Freshman of the Year award after Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) finished the regular season 18-4, 9-1 in conference action. Each of ETSU's players was recognized by the Southern Conference coaches as all-conference team selections. Senior Alejandro Salazar (Arequipa, Peru) and Posada were tabbed as first team singles selections as well as to the first team doubles selection. Senior Diego Iglesias (Mar del Plata, Argentina), juniors Fernando Fiuri (Villa Maria, Argentina) and Moisés Serrano (Bucaramanga, Columbia), and freshman Felix Insaurralde (Asunción, Paraguay) were named to the second all-conference team in singles and in doubles as well.
