JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 20, 2004) - The East Tennessee State baseball team will play their home opener Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. against Xavier in the first game of a doubleheader from Cardinal Park in Johnson City, Tenn. The Bucs will also host the Musketeers in a Sunday doubleheader at Noon. The series between East Tennessee State and Xavier was previously scheduled to be single games on both Saturday and Sunday. The Bucs and Musketeers met in ETSU's 2003 season opener, with the Bucs sweeping a doubleheader on Feb. 16 from Cardinal Park, 6-5 and 8-3. The Bucs are 0-5 on the early season after losing closely-contested games at South Florida and Georgia. This will be the season-opening series for Xavier.
