SPARTANBURG, SC (March 11, 2004) - East Tennessee State sophomore basketball player Brad Nuckles has been named the TIAA-CREF SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week for March 10. Nuckles was instrumental in ETSU's SoCon tournament championship last week, averaging nine points per game and pulling down 15 rebounds in the Buccaneers' three tournament games. The 6-foot-9 sophomore forward from Council, VA (Council HS) tallied 10 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots in the championship game against Chattanooga. Nuckles currently maintains a 3.538 GPA and is a Pre-Business Major.
