ETSU men's golf finishes 14th at Hall of Fame Invitational
Sunday, March 21, 2004 HUMBLE, Texas (March 21, 2004) - The East Tennessee State men's golf team finished in 14th after final round play Sunday in the Hall of Fame Invitational at the Redstone Golf Club. ETSU junior Jeremy Hobson (Thonotosassa, Fla.) and freshman Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) led the Bucs, finishing tied for 43rd at 7-over-par 223 for the event, as the Bucs posted a team score of 904.On the team leaderboard, Arizona (846) ran away with the title, firing a final round 286 to finish at 18-under for the event, six strokes better than second-place Oklahoma State. As for the individual championship, Arizona's Chris Nallen continued to play well, firing a final-round, 2-under-par 70 to go along with his pair of 66s, as he bested OSU's Alex Noren by six strokes. As for the rest of the Bucs, sophomores Noel Kavanagh (Westport, Ireland) and Andrew Paduch (Johnson City, Tenn.) finished tied for 64th and 69th, respectively, while junior Cennydd Mills (Cardiff, Wales) finished tied for 73rd.
