Buccaneers fall to Coll. of Charleston 4-3 in men's tennis

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Mar. 23, 2003) -- East Tennessee State's men's tennis team finished off its weekend of play with a 4-3 loss to College of Charleston Sunday afternoon at the Silcox Courts. Against ETSU, the Cougars took four of the six singles matches and one of the three doubles matches. In singles action, Alejandro Salazar (Arequipa, Peru) and Fernando Fiuri (Villa Maria, Argentina) picked up wins. The Buccaneers captured the doubles point as Salazar and teammate Marcos Pavlovich (Otamendi, Argentina) were victorious at the No. 1 slot, while ETSU's Diego Iglesias (Mar del Plata, Argentina) and Moises Serrano (Bucaramanga, Colombia) defeated their opponents at the No. 2 position.
