Johnson City, Tenn. (Oct. 16, 2002) -- East Tennessee State head coach Ed DeChellis and his squad held their annual media day Wednesday afternoon from Brooks Gym in Johnson City. The Buccaneer head coaches and players fielded questions about the upcoming season from local television stations and newspapers. "Our team goal is to try to be as good of a team as we can be and try to improve every day," DeChellis told reporters. "There is going to be some ups and downs, but it is a marathon, not a sprint. Hopefully, past experiences have helped us grow." The Buccaneers will open their defense of their Soouthern Conference North Division crown on Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. against Guilford from Memorial Center.
