Travel plans for NCAA tournament to be finalized on Monday

NCAA travel plans are being made for the Friday, March 21 appearance of the ETSU Buccaneers against Wake Forest in Tampa, Florida. Through arrangements made in cooperation with the NCAA three travel options are emerging including the possibility of a charter flight originating from Tri-Cities. Final arrangements and costs will be available by noon on Monday through these same outlets. Fans wishing to join the Buccaneers Travel Party which includes the team, coaches, cheerleaders and band should contact the ETSU Athletics Ticket Office at (423) 439-5371 to be placed on a list for seating on a charter flight and to request tickets for the Bucs session in Tampa. The team host hotel in Tampa will be The Suites at Mainsail Village. The second option for traveling fans that wish to travel by land may contact AAA Travel of Johnson City. They have a 47-passenger charter bus from Young's Bus Service reserved. This option will include lodging and convenient travel. The third option of making your own arrangements for travel will require prompt action due to limited airline seats available due to the Bristol Race Weekend. The Tampa site, The St. Pete Times Forum, is one of those listed as "sold out" for tournament tickets. ETSU will have an allocation of tickets for their sessions. To request game tickets from ETSU or to reserve a seat on a possible charter, please call ETSU Athletics Tickets at (423) 439-5371.
