ETSU women's golf team currently 7th at Hatter Spring Fling

DELAND, FLA. (March 24, 2003) - Led by Kristen Fletcher's 8-over-par 80, the East Tennessee State University women's golf team currently sits in a tie for 7th place at the Hatter Spring Fling following first round play Monday at the Victoria Hills Golf Course.

Fletcher was the top ETSU finisher in 9th, followed by teammates Kailey Brooks, Alysa Few and Danielle O'Reilly. Brooks is currently in a tie for 22nd (10-over 82), while Few and O'Reilly are both tied for 40th with a pair of 13-over 85s.

Florida Atlantic registered a 32-over 320 to take the team lead by three strokes over Murray State, while the Lady Bucs are currently 12 strokes back at 332. Florida Atlantic's Ann Fraser and Florida Gulf's Heather Mize are atop the individual leaderboard with 3-over-par 75s.

Final round play of the Hatter Spring Fling will take place Tuesday.
