Volleyball Wins Two Of Three at Coastal Carolina Tournament

Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State volleyball team won two out of three matches at a tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina University on April 21.

The first match was a time-limit draw between the Bucs and the host Chanticleers. Coastal Carolina won the first game 30-24, but the second game was tied at 20 when time ran out on the match.

In the Bucs second match of the day, ETSU swept SoCon foe The Citadel, 30-13 and 30-15. The Bucs next played ACC representative N.C. State. ETSU won the first game from N.C. State, defeating the Wolfpack 30-28. N.C. State then fought back and won the second game 30-17. The Wolfpack won the match by winning a hard-fought final game, 15-13.

The Bucs next played UNC Wilmington in their final match of the day. ETSU defeated the Seahawks, 30-25 and 30-27.
