Coach Hamilton Comments from Media Luncheon

On the 30-13 loss against Appalachian State:

I felt we played as hard as any team at ETSU. Our players competed and threw themselves around like I expect in an ETSU/ASU game.

We had a lot of opportunities in the first half to put ourselves in an advantageous situation for the rest of the game.

Our defense played very well. They had about five plays where they gained a lot of yards.

On the rest of the season:

I am encouraged because this team can be better and better. I'm not ready to give up on this year. We have some encouraging thoughts about the future.

On The Citadel:

The Citadel has opened with a great schedule. They are undefeated at home with wins against Western Carolina and South Carolina State.

Any time you face an option team you are concerned about matchups. This gives them an ability to keep their defense off the field and their defense concerns me.
