Men's & Women's Track Competes In Addidas Raleigh Relays

Johnson City, Tenn. -- Several members of the ETSU Men's and Women's Track & Field team competedat the Addidas Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State.
For the ETSU women, senior Catherine Berry finished fifth in the 5,000 meter with a time of 16:28.24. The time by Berry was a personal record and also a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Outdoor Meet. In addition, Rosaline Addo, Jennifer Howard, and Emily Campbell all set personal records. Addo finished the 400 meters with a time of :55.80; Howard was right behind Addo in the 400 with a time of :55.90 and Campbell finished the 10,000 meters with a time of 38:04.
Freshman Kim Hemstreet (10:33, 3000 meters); Lauren Campbell (2:16; 800 meters); Tanya Brown (10:35, 3000) and Trudy Gardner (11:22, 3000) also competed for the Bucs.
Senior Mitchell Jones led the ETSU men with a personal record of 14:40.93 in the 5,000 meters. Greg Sprowl finished the 5,000 in 15:03.62 and Dan Welsh completed the 10,000 in 31:23. The times for both Sprowl and Welsh were personal records. Patrick Sizemore also competed for the Bucs and finished the 3,000 steeplechase in a time of 9:53.
