Charleston, S.C. -- The women's tennis team had to contend with some tough sets but held off the Charleston Southern Lady Buccaneers 7-2. CSU claimed one singles and one doubles match, but could not break through to pick up any more points. With the loss, CSU falls to 5-7 on the season while ETSU improves to 4-3.

Charleston Southern's Gizella Turbok won the #1 singles match over Paty Vega 6-4, 6-1 but that would be the only singles point CSU would get. ETSU's Rika Iida had to fight past Julie Harnois 7-5, 6-0 at #3. Charleston Southern would be unable to gather more than two games in any other set.

ETSU returns to action on March 15 when it plays at Winthrop University. The match was originally scheduled for March 11 but was postponed because of rain.
