Coefield Transfers From Kansas To ETSU

Johnson City, Tenn. - The ETSU Athletic Department announced that Ocasio Coefield (Ft. Myers, Fla.) has transferred from Kansas to ETSU. Coefield, a 6-3/220 pound safety, appeared in all 12 games in 1999 for the the Jayhawks.

Coefield, a redshirt sophomore sociology major, is currently enrolled at ETSU and will participate in the upcoming spring drills. He will have two years of eligibility as a member of the Buccaneer football team.

During high school, Coefield was an All-State Honoree at both wide receiver and safety. As a senior he recorded 51 unassisted tackles and 60 assisted tackles. He also intercepted six passes and returned one interception for a touchdown.
