WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Jan. 18, 2013) – The ETSU women’s tennis team begins the spring season on Saturday, heading to the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center for the three-day Wake Forest Winter Classic.
Play begins Saturday at 1 p.m., as the Buccaneers will take on Wake in doubles. Elon and Radford will also be competing throughout the weekend, as they take on each other in doubles while ETSU battles the Demon Deacons. The Buccaneers conclude opening day by taking on Elon in singles.
All four teams competing will have both a doubles and a singles session against each other throughout the three-day tournament. All matches will not count toward dual records.
Traveling for ETSU are senior Antonia Kolovou (Larisa, Greece), juniors Giulia Andreazza (Balneario Camboriu, Brazil), Salma Dahbi (Marrakech, Morocco) and Sofia Espana (Mexico City, Mexico), sophomore Kelsey Williams (Sunbury, Australia), as well as freshmen Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia) and Anna Gerbasi (Caracas, Venezuela).
