JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 19, 2009) -
The ETSU men's soccer team and coaching staff recently held three free soccer clinics in an effort to reach out to the soccer youth of the Tri-cities area, and to give back to the community for the support the team received during its 2010 Atlantic Sun Tournament Championship run.

"It is very important for us as a team to be involved in the community and to give back to the boys and girls who come to all of our games," said head coach Scott Calabrese. "Our players really enjoyed putting on these clinics for the local kids. Hopefully we will be able to continue these clinics in the future as we try to help build a foundation for the game of soccer in the Tri-cities area."

The team held clinics for the East Tennessee Soccer Federation (ETSF), the Sullivan County Soccer Association (SCOSA) and the local Hispanic community. Players and staff ran instructional drills and mini games for the participants at the clinics, and also put on an exhibition match for the fans to enjoy.
