JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 6, 2010) - Junior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) was named to the 2010 CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 Baseball Team, announced the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and ESPN the Magazine on Thursday.
Hoilman, a math major, is one of five guys on the District 4 team with a GPA of 3.90 or better as Hoilman currently has a 3.93 cumulative GPA. Members of the All-District First Team are automatic candidates for CoSIDA Academic All-American, which will be announced May 25.
The Johnson City, Tenn. native is a five-time member of the ETSU Dean's list, and currently is ranked in the top 10 nationally in batting average (.458), hits (82), runs (66), doubles (21), home runs (19), RBI (67), slugging (.905), total bases (162) and on-base percentage (.554).
Hoilman was one of five first-team selections from the Atlantic Sun including Preston Hale and John Atteo of North Florida, Josh Holskey of Campbell and Tyler Cook of USC Upstate.
